If you are not at the Store Editor screen for ‘abc’ store, then start the program and go to the Main Zilron StoreCreator screen.
Click on the ‘Edit Store’ button.
Click on ‘abc’ on the next dialog.
Click on the ‘Select’ button. This should take you to the Store Editor screen.The above steps will not be repeated in subsequent lessons as we assume you are familiar with selecting the store and going to the Store Editor screen.
At the Store Editor screen, below the Category Edit section you will find the three buttons (‘Add’, ‘Edit’, ‘Remove’) pertaining to categories and subcategories.
Note: To move from fields to fields, you can either use the mouse or press ‘Tab’ or ‘Shift-Tab’ (hold down Shift key and press Tab key).
To add a category:
Click on the ’Add’ button.
Leave the ‘Sorting ID’ as ‘0’. The program by default sorts the categories in alphabetical order. You can however sort the categories according to these ‘Sorting IDs.’
Enter ‘ABC Complete desktop systems’ in the ‘Category Name’ box.
Enter ‘ABC Own Brand Computer Systems’ in the ‘Category Desc’ box.
Enter any description in the ‘Full Desc.’
Leave the optional ‘Icon Image’ and ‘Large Image’ blank.Later for your own store, if you wish to insert any image (*.gif or *.jpg), just click on the ‘Insert’ button and locate the image from your hard drive.
You can also view the image by pressing the ‘View’ button.
Click on the ‘Save’ button (top).
Add another category for the printers.
Click on the ‘Add’ button.
Enter ‘ABC Printers’ in the ‘Category Name’ box.
Enter ‘ABC Own Brand printers’ in the ‘Category Desc’ box.
Click on the ‘Save’ button.
On the Store Editor screen, you should now see the two categories.To add a subcategory:
Click on the ‘Add’ button.
Leave Sorting ID as ‘0’.
Enter ‘ABC Pentium I Systems’ in the ‘Category Name’ box.
Enter ‘ABC Own Brand Basic Pentium I Systems’ in the ‘Category Desc’ box.
Click on ‘ABC Complete desktop system’ as the ‘Parent Category.’
Click on the ‘Save’ button.Note the ‘ABC Pentium I Systems’ now becomes a subcategory of ‘ABC Complete desktop system.’
Repeat the above steps to create more subcategories to the above categories or subcategories.
Click on ‘Save’ button on the ‘Store Editor’ screen.
Exit this ‘Store Editor’ to the Main Zilron StoreCreator screen.The ‘Computer’ Store
Now select the ‘computer’ store. This store data is included in your program.
(At the main Zilron StoreCreator screen, Edit Store>click on ‘computer’>Select)You should see the Store ID, Company and Store Name on the top right section.
In the Category Edit box, you would see a total of 5 categories and 18 items.
Click on the little box (a box with either – or + sign) next to the ‘Computers’, click it again to see how it toggles between displaying and hiding the subcategories that belong to the ’Computers’ Parent Category.The Printers does not have that little box because it does not have any subcategories.
Click on the ‘Printers’, you can see the list of items in the bottom section.
Click on any of the subcategories of the ‘Computers’, again in the bottom section you will see the list of items pertaining to the selected subcategory.In the next lesson, we will learn how to enter items and create fields and subfields.
