Introduction
We are not using your store data for these lessons. But before you start creating your stores, it is helpful to gather the following information first:
- Store Information such as company name, address, telephone, zip or postal code
- Front page welcoming information (main body, bottom and copyright)
- Store Logo, Store Menu Logo (optional)
- Categories, subcategories (optional)
- Item names and short descriptions
- Item Images (optional)
- Keywords (words that help your customers to locate your store through the Search Engine)
- Links to full texts and images that describe your items
- If you have your items in Access or Dbase, you can import them directly to Zilron StoreCreator.
NOTE: You may have to re-size your logo images to make them fit into some of the templates. Otherwise, it may be advisable to select the templates that can accommodate your logo images.
This Chapter contains lessons that show you some of the main features of the Zilron StoreCreator. The lessons let you familiarize yourself with Zilron StoreCreator before setting up the program with your own data. You can also use this chapter after you have set up Zilron StoreCreator, to practice using parts of the program that may be unfamiliar, or to train new staff.
Your data is safe. You will create a sample store, ABC Computers, for practice in the first two lessons. Starting lesson 3, you will also use the sample store data, Demo Computer, included with the program to do the remaining lessons. The sample data gives you a chance to practice using the program without affecting the data for your own company.
